Anthony Xuân Diệp

Executive Director

Tony was born in Vietnam. He and his mother were the first Vietnamese boat people in Malaysia after leaving Vietnam in December 1975. After 7 months in a refugee camp, he was reunited with his father who was studying for his PhD at NYU. Tony grew up in New York and then New Jersey. He attended the University of Pennsylvania where he has a B.S. in Finance from the Wharton School and a B.A. in International Relations and Political Science from the College of Arts & Sciences. He also has an M.B.A. from the Tuck School at Dartmouth College.

Tony first came to Vietnam in 1992 where he worked as an analyst for a spin-off of Solomon Brothers. Following business school, he worked in the Equities Division as an Associate at Goldman Sachs and in the Fixed Income Derivatives Division as a Vice President at JPMorgan for nearly 10 years. Tony returned to Vietnam for the second time in 2007 where he was the Chief Investment Officer and Managing Director for Indochina Capital managing approximately $500 million of real estate private equity funds. He has interviewed and recruited hundreds of fresh college graduates from top schools for positions at these prestigious institutions and has intimate knowledge of the relationship between college and the work place.

Tony is now the Executive Director for i-IVY. He is fluent in English and spoken Vietnamese. He is the proud father of two little girls, Evie and Emma. He is an American sports fanatic and is a fan of the New York Yankees, New York Jets and Boston Celtics.

Trang Luu

Director and Partner

Trang holds a B.A. in English with a concentration in Colonial and Postcolonial Literature from the University of Pennsylvania, where she also received the Rittenberg Prize for Best Undergraduate Student in English. In high school, she was awarded the ASSIST Scholarship to attend boarding school in Colorado for one year—an opportunity which led to her first (official) foray into English literature. Her passion for education started when she investigated the significance of digital literacy practices in relation to social justice awareness as part of the research project Write4Change. In her college counseling role at i-IVY, she hopes to guide students through one of the most transformational journeys in their lives, help them explore their potential through discipline and hard work, and make sure that they do not fall into the trap of the dangling modifier.

Vu Le

Director and Partner

Vu graduated from University of Oregon with a BS in Economics. Over the past five years, he has successfully prepared many students for US standardized exams and supported them with their study-abroad applications at high school, and junior high school levels. Outside of education, Vu conducts due diligence research for a US-based compliance firm, giving him insights into different industries in Vietnam. Both of these experiences allow him to help chart the most optimal academic career path for Vietnamese students at a young age.
